In honor of the Draper James Sisterhood Collection launch, I thought it would be the perfect time to share why I think it's so important for you to have blogging besties! I have written in the past about how important it is to me to support other bloggers, and I wanted to express my thoughts on the importance of not only embowering each other, but creating friendships!
So without further adieu, here are three reasons why you need your blogging babes:
1. They understand what you're going through!
Your blogger besties are (mostly) in the same boat that you are! They know all about what goes on behind the scenes of blogging. Your significant others are supportive, but they don't really GET it. Your blogger babes know all about how much the Instagram algorithm sucks, and how important it is to get THE shot! They will be your saving grace when all you need to do is vent!
2. They are there for you!
Like I mentioned above, your blogging babes are going to be there for you. Whether it be to vent to, or to help you choose which picture to post on Instagram. Your girls will be there to help you succeed! They'll like/comment on every one of your posts, do #followfridays, and even link to your blog in theirs! Its all about community over competition with you babes!
3. They become your best friends!
I have made some of my closet friendships through blogging! (Shoutout to Anabelle, and Gretchen)! Because of the two points above, these ladies will become a huge part of your life! You're daily conversations will no longer only be about blogging, they will get personal and before you know it, y'all are BFF! ;) I know first hand that a "blogging friend" can quickly turn into a best friend!
Have any of your blogging friends turned into best friends?! I don't know where I would be in this world of blogging without my blogger babes, I'll tell you that!
Thanks so much for reading! xo
Thanks so much for reading! xo
I've had blogger friends that I pitched when I was working in PR that became friends over the years! They are people that know the blogging/social media world and continue to provide me with great support. You are spot on with this!
ReplyDeleteOne of my best friends is also a blogger and I agree with all of these points! She totally gets me - we also have the same FT gig, two toddlers, husbands, social lives.... she gets me on so many levels and I'm glad we met through blogging!
ReplyDeleteI could not agree more! Not just blogging babes, but the some of the readers I've met too have become close friends of mine. Shopping immediately gives us a wonderful thing in common. Great post.
ReplyDeleteThis is so true! As bloggers we work alone so it's great to have other bloggers to talk to for both business and fun!! I'd be lost without my blogger friends!
