Hello 2016!

2016 resolutions
Happy New Year everyone!! I hope y'all had the best time celebrating 2015 last night and welcoming 2016! Being the start of a new year, I thought I would make today's post a little different and share with you my goals/resolutions for the year ahead!

1. Be more open on this blog.
I want to branch out in my blog posts, writing about other topics than just outfit posts, and I also want to start writing some personal posts as well. I'm a little nervous about the feedback I could receive, possibly negative or hurtful, but I want to eventually get to a point where I can put my personal thoughts out there.

2. Don't worry about the number on the scale.
My body issues started sometime during college. It probably stemmed from being around girls everyday on the cross country team who were around 100 pounds and having a roommate that would call me fat every other day. Since then, I've made some lifestyle changes (sticking to a strict diet and exercising often) and have gotten to a place where I'm relatively happy with the way I look. But I still find myself letting the number on the scale define the way I feel. I want to finally get to a place where I am confident in my own skin and happy with my body.

3. Say 'yes' more often.
True life: I'm an introvert, and am a little very lazy. This article describes me perfectly. I am known to blow off plans with friends to stay home and sit on the couch... I don't know what's wrong with me. I seriously would rather stay home and catch up on The Royals (seriously y'all, this is THE best show) than go out and socialize.. It's a problem. But I really want to start saying "yes" when people ask me to hang out, invite me places, etc.. and actually following through!

2015 was a great year for me- so much happened! To name a few things: I moved home to Maryland after graduating, landed my first big girl job, bought a new car, my boyfriend moved up here, I moved out of my parents house, and last but not least, I started this wonderful blog right here! I'm going to share a few snapshots of some of the great times I had in 2015 below!

What are some of your New Year resolutions?

Thanks so much for reading! xo
