Winter Storm Jonas came... and conquered! We got a little over two feet of snow here in Annapolis, and spent most of the day yesterday trying (key word trying) to dig ourselves out. The snow plow created a legit barrier at the bottom of our driveway and up against my two roommates cars. It was ridiculous. Trying to fully dig our cars out was a suicide mission, so we decided to go inside and drink some mimosas instead!
A lot of the snow melted yesterday but ended up freezing overnight, so the roads are ice. Needless to say, neither of us were able to make it into work today. #winning. My plans for today include pretty much the same thing I've been doing all weekend while being snowed in: laying on the couch, watching Netflix, and eating all of the junk food in our house. Carbs don't count when you're snowed in, right??
Funny story: Before Jonas hit, I went to the grocery store and stored up on a bunch of low carb snack food so that I could remain on my diet while being snowed in. The second the snow started falling down, all I was craving was pizza, candy, and donuts. I was legitamitely whining all day Saturday because I was hungry but didn't want any of the food I bought. [Side note: we live a little under a mile from a 7-11]. Yesterday Cab grabbed his backpack and decided he was going to walk to 7-11 in search for some food to "shut me up." He came back with a backpack FULL of snacks including Bagel Bites, Sour Patch Watermelons, and mini powdered donuts. My man knows the way to my heart! ;) #allthefoods
