I went on a quick trip to Knoxville, Tennessee last month, and y'all, I can't wait to go back! It is the cutest little town! I had been to Knoxville once when I was very young for a swim meet, so I was excited to be able to explore the town with new eyes!
A Weekend Guide to Knoxville, Tennessee
It was such a quick trip that we didn't have time to really dig into all that Knoxville has to offer, but from what we were able to see, Knoxville is definitely a must-visit town!WHERE TO STAY:
We had the opportunity to stay at the beautiful Tennessean Hotel in downtown Knoxville, and I couldn't recommend it enough! It's in the perfect location, walking distance to a ton of shopping and restaurants- and right next to World's Fair Park! And a perk: they have a complimentary shuttle that will take you where you need to go if it's a little further than walking distance! From the second you pull up to the Tennessean, you are greeted by their incredibly friendly staff, ready to give you recommendations and answer any questions you may have!
WHERE TO EAT:
Stock and Barrel: We decided to grab dinner here are first night in town! It's a little spot in Market Square that's known for their burgers, bourbon, and beer- and trust me, get a burger!
The Plaid Apron: We decided to take a drive to this cute little cafe for brunch on Saturday! Y'all if you go, please get the monkey bread! I didn't get it, and I still regret it lol. It looked amazing!
Myrtle's Chicken + Beer: I loved this place! Great food and atmosphere! They have delicious southern cooking, and had an awesome playlist! The perfect Saturday night dinner spot!
Cruze Farm Ice Cream: If you do one thing when you're in Knoxville, go to Cruze Farm for ice cream!!! You will not regret it! First of all, all of the workers have the cutest vintage uniforms. Second, it was honestly the best ice cream I have EVER had! You can add so many fun toppings- like GLITTER!!
Status Dough: Looking for a spot to grab coffee and a doughnut?! This is the place! Well, I don't drink coffee so I can speak on that, but the doughnuts are huge and freaking delicious!

WHAT TO DO:
Market Square: We ended up going to Market Square every day while we were in Knoxville! It's the perfect outdoor space filled with restaurants, shopping, and my personal favorite: people watching! It's also walking distance to the Historic Gay Street, that also has tons of restaurants, hotels, and shops!
University of Tennessee: UT's campus is in the heart of downtown, so if you get the chance, you should definitely take a tour. Our shuttle driver gave us a quick driving tour around campus. It's always so fun to see other college campuses!
