Cabo San Lucas Travel Diary - Chasing Cinderella

I finally unpacked my suitcase from our vacation to Cabo San Lucas (yes it's been over two months), so I thought it was about time to share with y'all some details about our trip!

Cabo San Lucas Travel Diary

Where We Stayed

We were fortunate enough to spend the week at Pueblo Bonito Montecristo Estates. Pueblo Bonito has eight oceanfront resorts and Montecristo Estates consists of private and exclusive luxury villas with amazing views of the ocean! I absolutely loved how private it was! It's situated within the Quivira residential development, and you have to pass through two gates to get to the villas. Because of this I always felt super safe within the resort, even when I was on a run by myself!

All of the villas in Montecristo Estates, including ours, are nestled up on the side of a hill with gorgeous views of the ocean! Each villa has three bedrooms, two balconies, a private infinity pool, and a hot tub all facing the ocean. We were able to see whales from our balcony, it was incredible! Our Villa also came with a maid service and unlimited access to the restaurants, bars and facilities at four nearby Pueblo Bonito resorts! Being able to access other resorts was one of my favorite perks of staying at Montecristo Estates!

Things To Do

I'm sure the list is endless, but I wanted to share with y'all some of the things that we did when we were in Cabo San Lucas, as well as some thing we wanted to do, but ran out of time! As I stated above, because we stayed at Montecristo Estates, we had access to nearby Pueblo Bonito resorts, including Sunset Beach and Rosé.

We were not permitted to swim in the ocean at the beach where we stayed because the undertow of the water was too dangerous, so we headed over to Pueblo Bonito Rosé for most of our daytime activities.

Whale Watching - You hop on a little boat right on the beach and they take you out to search for whales. The captain would whip that little boat around so quickly and race off to where the whales were swimming. The whales would come up right to the side of the boat, it was absolutely incredible!

Boat Taxi to Arch - If you didn't want to do the whole Whale Watching thing, you could hop on a boat taxi that would take you right over to see The Arch. Great photo op!

Kayaking/Jetsking/Water Sports - They had so many different activities available from the beach!

Cabana on the Beach - My favorite thing to do was just to grab a cabana on the beach and relax! They had waiters who would bring you drinks, lunch, and you had the locals selling things walking by. It was super relaxing and definitely made it feel like vacation!

There is also a ton to do downtown! They have a bunch of local shopping (think markets), as well as an actual indoor mall! There are a ton of bars and restaurants, including Sammy Hagar's club Cabo Wabo. There are a bunch of boats set up if you want to go off-shore fishing, and we also took a Mexican Food Dinner Cruise one night where we listened to music, ate, and saw beautiful views of The Arch!

Montecristo guests also have the opportunity to visit the rooftop Sky Pool at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach, and to enjoy exclusive access to the Jack Nicklaus Signature course at Quivira Golf Club, a magnificent venue marked by huge dunes, sheer cliffs and rolling foothills.

Where To Eat

I wanted to compile a list of a few places that we ate while we were in Cabo, but also wanted to share some of the recommendations that y'all shared with me before we headed out West!

The Office - I highly recommend this restaurant for dinner! It's right on the beach, super festive with live music, and just an all around fun time!

Flora Farms - This was one of the top places recommended to me! We didn't have a chance to make it out there because it was a little far from our Villa, but it is definitely on my list for the next to we visit Cabo!

Aside y Asado - I was told that this is the go-to place if you're wanting tacos!

Sunset Monalisa - For some fine dining and a gorgeous view!

Mango Deck - Apparently a super fun spot for some day drinking!

La Dolce - An Italian restaurant right in the heart of downtown!

We had the absolute best time in Cabo San Lucas and cannot wait to go back! If you have the opportunity, I definitely recommend staying in Montecristo Estates, but if not, any of the Pueblo Bonito resorts will exceed your expectations!

Thanks so much for reading! xo
