If you follow me on Instagram you know that I attended The Blog Societies Conference in Atlanta a couple weeks ago! This was my very first blogging conference and I was super excited to learn from some of the industries bests, and to meet the other bloggers that I have been following for so long! Because this was my first conference, I had a lot of questions going in, my number one questions being WTF DO I WEAR?!
Being a fashion blogger, and seeing this was a blogging conference, I immediately started stressing out over what I was going to wear! I had no idea what was appropriate to wear, and being the introvert that I am, I definitely did not want to stick out! I immediately took to google and searched for blog posts to help steer me in the right direction. I came up pretty short, the only advice being that not all bloggers at the conference would be fashion bloggers... which was true and a little helpful, but still left me stressed out! So I did what I do best- I winged it!
I ultimately ended up going a more casual and comfortable route! But as you can see from the pictures, everyone is dressed so differently, and I had absolutely nothing to stress about! You literally can wear anything you want! Some girls were in jeans shorts and flats, others were in dresses and heels. As long as you dress true to your style, you will look fabulous!
Pro Tip: If you are planning on going sleeveless, bring some sort of outerwear in your bag! Those conference rooms can get chilly!

I had the absolute BEST time at TBSCon and I highly recommend it to anyone that has been considering attending! From the workshops, to the sponsors, everything was incredible. It definitely exceeded my expectations and I 100% plan on attending again next year!
Thanks so much for reading! xo

How fun! I wish we had another conference in our area. I went to one two years ago but I've grown so much since then!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat tips! I haven't gone to a blogging conference yet but really want to. They look like a lot of fun and it seems like you can learn a lot. Do you have a couple recommendations on a handful of conferences that you think are worth the money? I really want to find one on the east coast.

Glad you had a great time and completely agree with bringing a sweater for the conference rooms- I hate being cold!
ReplyDeleteI think your outfits turned out fantastic! I bet you're glad you wore what you did. You look cute but don't stand out in a negative way (sometimes fashion bloggers look TOO high-fashion and it's intense). You did an excellent job styling. I love that striped blazer!!
