It's that time of year again. Time to plan your outfit to wear from the Thanksgiving table to the couch! It's no secret that I'm more of a Christmas season girl, but I do love the fashion that comes along with Thanksgiving. It's probably because fall is my favorite season when it comes to outfit planning! I'm all about comfort this time of year, and looking cute!
Thanksgiving Outfit Inspiration
I've shared Thanksgiving outfit inspiration before, but I wanted to do it a little different this year! There are so many different outfit combinations that can be worn for fall and especially Thanksgiving, that I thought it would be helpful to share not only full outfit inspiration, but certain items that would be great to wear on Thanksgiving.
Sweater + Skirt
Currently, I think this is my favorite outfit combination. You are still super comfortable in a sweater and the skirt will give you some room for all the food you are inevitably going to eat, but you still look super cute and feminine!Statement Skirt + Leather Jacket
If you're someone that likes to dress up a little bit more for Thanksgiving, you cannot go wrong with a statement skirt! They are so fun and add some personality to your outfit. Add a leather jacket to your outfit for a complete fall/edgy look!
Cardigan + White Tee + Denim
This is my go-to outfit all fall long, and Thanksgiving is no exception! I love the casual and comfortable vibes the white tee gives you, and the cardigan dresses up the look a bit, but still remaining super cozy!
Statement Booties + All Black
It's no secret that black is slimming, and we all need that for Thanksgiving LOL. But to add a little extra to your outfit, grab your favorite statement boots! I love these leopard print ones, but snakeskin is huge this year too!
Sweater Over a Dress
This trend be came popular last year (for me) and I am still loving the look! You'll look cute and feel comfortable (especially after earring all that Thanksgiving turkey), and the sweater over top will add an extra layer of cozy!
Faux Fur Vest + OTK Boots
Once the weather cools down, I'm almost always grabbing for my faux fur vests. They are great for dressing up any outfit, and can be worn with just about anything. If you are going for a more dressed up look, add a pair of over-the-knee boots too!
Classic Plaid Dress
When I think of fall, I think of plaid. You cannot go wrong with a classic plaid dress for all of your Thanksgiving activities. A dress is always a good choice when lots of food is involved, and you will feel dressed for the occasion with the plaid.
Suede Moto Jacket
When I think of Thanksgiving, for some reason I think of suede. I absolutely love my suede Moto jacket and I wear it any chance I can get. It would be so cute over a sweater and jeans, or even over a dress. There are endless possibilities for a suede jacket.
Blanket Scarf + Cardigan
It is officially blanket scarf season and there are so many patterns out there that are perfect for Thanksgiving. A super easy and comfortable way I like to wear my blanket scarves is to pair them with a cardigan, tee, and jeans. Super easy and super cute!
Oversized Sweater + Leggings + Boots
If you want to be super comfortable, but still look put together, this is the outfit for you! Grab your favorite pair of leggings (hello comfort) and a sweater long enough to cover your bum, and you're Thanksgiving feast ready! Add a pair of boots to complete the look!
Sweater Dress + OTK Boots
Here is another outfit that makes you look very put together, but you are also comfortable and ready to stuff your face with a Thanksgiving meal. The OTK boots instantly take your outfit to the next level, and a sweater dress is equal parts cute and comfortable!
Statement Sweater
Another one of my go-to looks for fall is a fun sweater with a pair of jeans. Grab your favorite statement sweater, for an easy Thanksgiving look! If it's long enough, you could even pair it with a pair of faux leather leggings!
Suede Skirt + Sweater
So you now know that I love suede for fall, and I also love a good sweater/skirt combo for Thanksgiving! Suede skirts are super in right now, and not to mention really cute, so you would be super trendy at your Thanksgiving dinner!
Sweater + Denim
Here is probably your most basic, but easiest to create from what you already have in your closet. Grab a comfortable sweater (preferably something of fall/Thanksgiving color scheme), and a pair of denim (I recommend some with the stretch, because FOOD), and there you have it!
